Imperial Collision Parts/Shop Helper

Location: 1024 Kingsway Blvd, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Reports To: General Manager

Salary: Starting at $24.00-$26.00 /hr, commensurate with experience

About Us

Our busy and growing automotive collision centre is seeking a Parts / Shop Helper to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace by assisting with parts handling, shop organization, vehicle movement, cleanliness, and general support duties for the repair team. Imperial Collision Centre is part of the Laking Group of Companies located in Sudbury, ON.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing auto body parts and materials
- Check incoming parts for accuracy and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items
- Label, sort, and stage parts by repair order or vehicle
- Deliver parts and materials to technicians as needed
- Help return unused, damaged, or incorrect parts in accordance with shop procedures
- Deliver parts for returns back to supplier
- Keep the parts room, storage areas, and work areas clean and organized
- Maintain overall shop cleanliness, including sweeping floors, removing garbage, and keeping workspaces tidy
- Assist with moving vehicles in and around the shop as required
- Help maintain a clean and organized lot and parking area
- Support body technicians, painters, estimators, and office staff with day-to-day shop tasks
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization
- Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are put away properly after use
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
- Perform other shop support duties as assigned
- Vehicle drop off /pick up

- Basic Computer Skills
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Able to perform physically demanding work

- Reliable and dependable
- Previous shop or automotive experience is an asset, but not required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

- Most of the time working in a shop setting
- Frequently required to be outdoors moving vehicles or driving on the road
- Able to perform physically demanding work
- Position involves standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs
