We are looking for a Social Media / Content Marketing Intern who is excited about using AI tools to create engaging, SEO-driven content that ranks well on Google and drives organic traffic to our website.

Role Overview

As a Content Marketing Intern, you will help plan, create, and optimize digital content using AI-powered tools such as Jasper, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Your work will directly support our SEO strategy, brand awareness, and lead generation efforts.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in content marketing, search engine optimization, and link-building strategies in a real-world business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Optimization

- Write and optimize blog posts using AI tools (e.g., Jasper, ChatGPT) focused on event décor, weddings, corporate events, and party rentals in Ontario
- Ensure all content follows SEO best practices (keyword usage, headings, internal linking, meta descriptions)
- Edit and refine AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, brand voice, and engagement

Visual & Multimedia Content

- Use AI tools such as Gemini (and other platforms as needed) to generate images and visual assets for blogs and web content




- Assist in selecting or refining visuals to support storytelling and SEO performance

SEO & Research

- Conduct keyword research related to event rentals, décor trends, and local Ontario search terms
- Analyze competitor content and identify content gaps or ranking opportunities
- Support content updates to improve existing blog performance and search rankings

Backlink & Outreach Opportunities

- Research and identify online opportunities for backlinks (e.g., blogs, directories, event vendors, wedding websites, local publications)
- Help build a list of potential partners or websites for outreach
- Assist in drafting outreach messages or content ideas that encourage backlink placements

Performance Tracking

- Help monitor content performance using basic analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or SEO tools)
- Report on blog performance, keyword rankings, and backlink growth

Qualifications

- Strong written English skills and attention to detail
- Interest in content marketing, SEO, and AI-driven tools
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn tools like Jasper, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms
- Basic understanding of SEO concepts (keywords, backlinks, search intent)
- Ability to research topics and think creatively about content angles
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
