Part TIME REGISTERED NURSE POSITION

Hope Centre Health Care is a community health centre located in Winnipeg’s Northend. It operates within the primary health care model using an interdisciplinary approach to serve a culturally diverse, often socioeconomically disadvantaged population.

Position Description:

Consistent with the principles of primary health care and the Vision, Mission and Values of Hope Centre Health Care Inc., the Nurse provides health care within the scope of nursing practice for individuals of the Northend Community . As a member of a client-centered interdisciplinary team, the Nurse provides care to individuals promoting wellness, prevention of disease and/or disability, reproductive health and the management of chronic diseases. Also the nurse works as an advocate on behalf of the client to ensure the appropriate links/referrals to other services that would enable the client to achieve their health goals.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

- Must be a member in good standing with CRNM and must be licensed to practice in Manitoba
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an inner city community health setting preferred
- A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse preferred
- Demonstrated clinical skill in physical examination and nursing intervention
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is an asset




- Experience and ideas of the nursing role in the co-management of chronic disease is an asset
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with respect, professionalism, co-operation, sensitivity, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to work within the impacts of the social determinants of health in an effective and non-judgmental way
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, languages, customs, values, and traditions
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Solid interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Must have demonstrated acceptable attendance and job performance relevant to this position
- Must be able to adhere to the requirements of the Respectful Workplace Policy

Pay: $32.45-$44.14 per hour
