Join our dynamic farm team as a Farm Mechanic and General Farm Hand, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the health and efficiency of our farm operations. This energetic position offers the chance to work hands-on with farm machinery, perform essential repairs, and assist with daily farm activities. We’re looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to learn, and takes pride in keeping farm equipment and facilities in top condition to support productive and sustainable farming practices. You will have the opportunity to work in a large modern shop on equipment ranging from small engines, pickup trucks, semi trucks and trailers, farm machinery and large construction equipment. You will also have lots of opportunity to do various other jobs around the farm as well from equipment operating, truck driving and barn work

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of farm machinery, highway tractors, trailers, small engines, and much more.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and infrastructure to identify issues early and prevent breakdowns
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks such as planting, harvesting, and land preparation
- Assist with general farm duties such as planting, harvesting, and crop management
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including tool storage and equipment yard.
- Use hand tools for minor repairs or adjustments on farm equipment and infrastructure
- Maintain records on work done on equipment




- Safely operate equipment

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of farm machinery and equipment
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including tractors, loaders, or other large machinery
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of farm safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Must come to work every day with a good, team friendly attitude. as we want this to be a positive experience for everyone

Pay: $22.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
