Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of short order dishes and specialty pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presented attractively for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment
- Follow food safety protocols meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or during table service,
providing friendly and attentive support
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service environments, especially with quick-service or pizza establishments
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced setting while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to pizza making and short order dishes
- Previous kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
