Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Millwork CNC Machine Setter/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and safety protocols are followed. This position offers an exciting prospect to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Set up CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications.
- Program CNC equipment using languages like Mazatrol and Fanuc, ensuring precise control over machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software to determine machining requirements.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of machined parts.
- Monitor machine operations during production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on CNC machinery to minimize downtime.




- Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lean manufacturing principles.

Skills

- Proficiency with CNC programming languages such as Mazatrol and Fanuc controls.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, welding, and use of hand tools.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for precise measurements and adjustments.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Experience operating CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Competence in using forklift trucks for material handling when necessary.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
