Job Overview

Shibuya Izakaya is looking for a reliable and energetic Busser / Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team. This is a hands-on support role focused on helping servers, keeping the dining area clean and organized, and ensuring guests receive rapid and attentive service.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant, and willing to help wherever needed. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly between guests
- Assist servers with maintaining tables throughout service
- Refill water and provide utensils, condiments, and other guest items as needed
- Deliver food and beverages to tables safely and efficiently
- Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables
- Keep dining areas, service stations, and front-of-house areas clean and organized
- Restock utensils, napkins, glassware, sauces, and other service supplies
- Assist with table setup before service and closing duties at the end of the shift
- Communicate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to help maintain smooth service




- Respond to basic guest requests in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and food-safety procedures
- Support other front-of-house team members during busy periods
- Perform other general restaurant duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required
- Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to carry dishes, trays, and restaurant supplies safely
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 24.0 per week
