We are seeking an Accountant for our Surrey BC office, located in the Port Kells Industrial Area.

The applicant will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function (this is a “hands on” position). This includes payroll processing; A/R billing, A/P function, job costing and other related accounting matters. The person must be fully conversant with “Sage Accounting” software. In addition, the person will take a lead role in assisting and overseeing the office administration function of a small office support staff.

Experience in an industrial workplace would be an asset along with construction project accounting and job costing. The company offers a competitive salary and group insurance benefits to the qualified individual. Please provide details covering your work experience and qualifications.





Duties include but are not limited to:

- Overseeing the accounting department and the office;
- Preparing monthly financial statements and annual audit working papers;
- Entering daily cash receipts and preparing weekly bank reconciliation;
- Creating progress billing invoices for clients and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables;
- Matching subcontractor invoices to subcontracts and entering other administrative payables;
- Performing bi-weekly payroll;
- Checking expense reports and maintaining credit card statements;
- Reviewing operating processes and procedures with the President and making necessary changes;
- Assisting in the preparation of job cost reports and making adjustment entries, if necessary;
- Preparing cheque runs and government remittances (payroll source deductions, GST, etc.); and performing other related duties, as assigned.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $68,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
