We are seeking a motivated Shop Assistant/Apprentice to join our team! Duties
- Support the workshop team with vehicle repairs, maintenance, and assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving automotive parts or equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow schematics and technical diagrams to aid in diagnostics and repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored
- Help with vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressures, and basic mechanical functions
- Learn to use welding equipment and develop mechanical knowledge through on-the-job training
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle needs and progress
Qualifications
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail when following schematics or assembly instructions
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards customer service
- Mechanical aptitude with an interest in automotive repair or maintenance processes
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Valid "G" license with clean abstract
