JTF Security is accepting applications for on-call/casual Security Professionals for specialty deployments within the Nanaimo area!
These deployments will typically focus on passenger operations within a marine transport environment and require a well-groomed, calm, silent professional presence. Security professionals are responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly setting through high-level situational awareness, the ability to hold space and advanced de-escalation techniques.
We are seeking passionate and reliable individuals who possess the following abilities and qualifications:
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to maintain positive client and public relations
- Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Basic experience with report writing
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong observation skills
- Good time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced Security Training (AST) certification is highly preferred
Please note that candidates must have evening, late-night and weekend availability to be considered for employment.
All JTF Security Guards are required to hold a valid British Columbia Security License, have access to a smartphone with data while on shift, and be capable of standing or walking for extended periods of time (when required).
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
