Join the Vitality Fitness team as a Fuel Bar Attendant and help us launch the new Vitality Fuel Bar inside our established 28,000 sq. ft. fitness facility in Burnaby. Vitality Fitness is a modern fitness facility equipped with top-quality gym equipment and designed to provide a premium experience for our members.

As a Fuel Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing smoothies, fresh juices, coffee, and other Fuel Bar items while maintaining a clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming environment. You will also prepare ingredients, maintain food preparation areas, assist customers, and help ensure the Fuel Bar operates efficiently throughout the day.

We are looking for someone with hands-on food industry experience who understands the importance of food preparation, cleanliness, sanitation, consistency, and customer service.

Duties

- Prepare smoothies according to recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations
- Prepare fresh juices using appropriate juicing equipment and fresh ingredients
- Prepare coffee and espresso-based beverages consistently and professionally
- Wash, cut, portion, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients for daily service
- Complete ingredient preparation and ensure ingredients are properly stored, labelled, and organized
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary Fuel Bar throughout the shift
- Clean and sanitize countertops, food preparation surfaces, equipment, utensils, blenders, juicers, coffee equipment, and other work areas
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, cleaning, and sanitization procedures
- Monitor the freshness and condition of ingredients and food products
- Restock ingredients, cups, packaging,



supplies, and other Fuel Bar items as required
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate when ingredients or supplies need to be replenished
- Greet Vitality Fitness members and customers warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Take customer orders accurately and assist customers with questions about available Fuel Bar products
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for customer transactions
- Maintain an efficient workflow during busy periods while ensuring quality and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general daily Fuel Bar operations
- Help maintain the high-quality customer experience and presentation standards expected throughout Vitality Fitness

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of previous experience working in the food service, food preparation, restaurant, café, smoothie bar, juice bar, or related food industry
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience preparing coffee or espresso-based beverages
- Previous experience preparing smoothies, fresh juices, or similar beverages is strongly preferred
- Experience with food preparation, ingredient preparation, portioning, and safe food handling
- Strong understanding of workplace cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices




- Ability to properly clean and sanitize food preparation equipment and work surfaces
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow recipes and preparation standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and remain organized during busy periods
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach to customer service
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely perform the physical tasks associated with food and beverage preparation
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash or card transactions is an asset
- Interest in fitness, nutrition, wellness, or healthy food and beverage products is an asset

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
