Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Grocery Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist shoppers with their needs, and ensure the grocery store operates smoothly. Duties

- Cut frozen fish into required sizes using a bandsaw, following proper safety and food-handling procedures.
- Clean and sanitize the bandsaw, work area, tools, and equipment after cutting frozen fish, following proper hygiene and safety procedures.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store
- Operate POS systems efficiently for checkout, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized shelves through merchandising and inventory management
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store environment
- Manage time effectively to complete tasks promptly during busy hours
- Support store promotions by engaging customers with product knowledge and sales techniques
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory control to ensure product availability
- Assist with unloading shipments from delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Sort, organize, and store merchandise according to company standards




- Ensure inventory is handled carefully to prevent damage
- Must be able to perform light physical tasks, including lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs.
- Perform overall cleaning of the sales floor, washrooms, and toilets, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.

Requirements

- Robust communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Organizational skills to manage merchandising and stock levels efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve a diverse customer base
- Experience in retail sales, technical sales, or product demos is advantageous
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Comfortable recording and appearing in videos for social media platforms

Pay: $16.50 per hour
