Duties

- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including handling ingredients and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the kitchen team by managing waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
- Monitor dishwashing machinery for proper operation and report any maintenance issues promptly

Skills

- Proven experience in cleaning or dishwashing within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in food service environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a quick-paced kitchen atmosphere
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations including food preparation and cooking support
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members
- Previous hotel or food service experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
