Haider Khan Legal P.C. (“the Firm”), located in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a qualified lawyer to join our team.

About the Firm

We are a Mississauga-based law firm serving clients across Ontario. Our core areas of practice include: (i) commercial litigation and debt recovery; (ii) consumer protection litigation, with a particular emphasis on disputes arising within the automotive industry; (iii) administrative law, including advocacy before a broad range of Ontario tribunals such as the Landlord and Tenant Board and the License Appeal Tribunal; and (iv) transactional real estate matters (mainly residential).

We operate within a collaborative, team-based model that equips our team members with the resources and technology necessary to develop and do the best for our clients.

Opportunity

As our firm continues to grow, an increasing number of clients have sought the same accessible, client-focused, and results-driven representation in their family law matters. We are therefore seeking a family lawyer to join our expanding team.

Role Expectations and Core Competencies

A successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:

1. You are confident and professional in client interactions and capable of conducting or meaningfully participating in client consultations. You must possess a strong foundational ability to explain complex legal concepts in a practical and understandable manner;

2. You are comfortable working with modern legal-technology platforms and case-management systems, and you appreciate the role technology plays in efficient and effective legal practice;

3. You are seeking a stable,



long-term position and are motivated to grow alongside a firm that is invested in your professional development;

4. You are a creative yet disciplined legal problem-solver who approaches files with defined strategy and attention to detail;

5. You will take primary responsibility for your assigned files and are expected to effectively deploy firm resources, including clerks and paralegals delegating appropriately while maintaining overall carriage, responsibility and accountability; and

6. You are comfortable appearing before forums such as the SCJ and OCJ on both motions and trials, the Ontario small claims court, and various other tribunals.

Qualifications

Successful applicants will possess the following:

Full licensure as a Barrister and Solicitor in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

A minimum of 1-2 years of meaningful post-articling experience practising family law in Ontario. The ideal applicant will have between 2+ years of experience.

Compensation

The firm offers a competitive compensation structure designed to support long-term professional growth and stability.

- Base Salary: $85,000 - $96,600 base per year (commensurate with experience)
- $10,000 raise upon hitting certain short-term billing targets
- Professional Fees Covered by the firm: Law Society of Ontario annual fees
- Two Weeks Paid Vacation

Note: Applicants with greater experience may be extended a salary commensurate with their qualifications, while those with less experience may receive an adjusted compensation package.
