Evening Childcare Supervisor – Level 2 or Level 3

Happy Hub Childcare is looking for a dependable, experienced, and confident Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Evening Supervisor.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working directly with children while also taking on leadership responsibilities and supporting the smooth operation of the centre during the afternoon and evening hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide supervision and leadership to educators during the evening shift
- Ensure children are provided with a safe, caring, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Support staff with classroom routines, transitions, behaviour guidance, and programming
- Ensure appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained
- Monitor classrooms and provide assistance where required
- Communicate professionally with parents and families during pickup
- Support closing routines and ensure classrooms and common areas are organized and ready for the next day
- Ensure centre policies, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and documentation standards are followed
- Assist with incident reporting and communicate important information to management
- Help create a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment
- Step into classrooms as required to provide coverage and operational support

Qualifications

- Alberta Child Care Staff Certification – Level 2 or Level 3 is required
- Level 3 certification is considered an asset
- Previous childcare/daycare experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
- Robust communication and organizational skills
- Ability to confidently supervise and support a team
- Reliable,



punctual, professional, and responsible
- Comfortable handling parent communication and day-to-day operational situations
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as required for childcare employment

Schedule

Afternoon/Evening shifts – Monday to Friday

Exact hours will be discussed based on centre operational needs and candidate availability.

Compensation
