Night Sales Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused Night Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and ensuring the store is properly stocked and ready for the morning team.

This is a night/overnight position, so reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are important.

Key Duties

- Provide friendly and professional customer service to all customers.
- Operate the POS system and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
- Follow all cash-handling and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
- Restock merchandise, coolers, and other store areas as required.
- Keep coffee, beverage, and food-service areas clean and ready for customers.
- Clean and maintain washrooms and other assigned areas.
- Monitor the store and fuel-pump areas and report any issues to management.
- Complete required night-shift checks and follow all store procedures.
- Follow all age-verification requirements and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
- Receive and organize deliveries when required.
- Complete assigned cleaning and merchandising tasks before the end of the shift.




- Communicate any customer concerns, maintenance issues, shortages, or other incidents to management.
- Follow company health, safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures.
- Ensure the store is properly prepared for the morning shift.

Skills & Qualifications

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a busy retail environment.
- Basic cash-handling and computer/POS skills.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise and stand for extended periods.
- Previous gas station, convenience store, retail, or customer-service experience is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification is required. Candidates who do not currently have Smart Serve must obtain it as a condition of employment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
