Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager (Multi-Company, Hybrid) – Calgary, AB

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid – mix of in-office and remote)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager to oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple companies under one ownership group.
This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office presence and remote work. The position is best suited for someone who can work independently, stay organized, and take full ownership of multiple sets of books.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting across multiple companies (5+ entities)
- Month-end and year-end close
- Financial statement preparation and review
- Cash flow management and reporting
- GST filings and compliance
- Payroll
- Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Coordination with external CPA for year-end and tax filings
- Identifying inefficiencies and improving accounting processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting / bookkeeping experience
- Strong multi-company (multi-entity) experience is required
- CPA designation or working toward CPA is strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax requirements
- High proficiency with QuickBooks and Sage 100 Contracfor
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple entities
