Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver / Kitchen Hand to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, customer service, and possess strong communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to be a part of our logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
This position may require early morning start times, depending on operational and event requirements.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo
- Ensure accurate delivery of products, verifying orders against delivery manifests
- Assist with moving heavy items and handling large or bulky shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery area
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during deliveries
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel use, and delivery confirmations
- Assist as required with kitchen tasks between deliveries
Requirements
- Valid Class G Licence
- Clean driving record is required, please provide an abstract
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs) and handle physically demanding tasks regularly
- Positive organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Prior experience in commercial driving and/or kitchen experience is desirable
- Food Handlers Certificate is desirable
