Alair Homes is a network of independently owned custom home builders across North America. Every Alair location is locally owned and operated, combining local expertise with the shared systems, standards, and support of the Alair brand. Our Bow Valley team is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of high-end custom home builds from pre-construction through client handover.

This is a role with a real ceiling. Alair Project Managers have the option to buy into an existing franchise or launch their own — so if you've ever wanted to run your own building company without starting from zero, this is a genuine route there.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll own the full lifecycle of your projects — the money, the schedule, the trades, and the client relationship. You'll run several high-end custom builds and renovations at once, working within Alair's established operating system and reporting directly to the owner.

Financial ownership

- Track project costs, billings, and payments in real time, and protect the margin on every build
- Prepare client invoices and manage change orders from pricing through approval
- Report on budget status and cost-to-date accuracy

Scheduling and site leadership

- Build and maintain weekly project schedules; adjust proactively when things move
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to keep milestones on track
- Oversee site supervisors and run regular site and quality-control inspections
- Enforce safety compliance and maintain warranty and photo documentation (CompanyCam)

Client experience

- Deliver consistent weekly updates so clients always know where their project stands
- Communicate change orders clearly and set realistic expectations from day one

Team and reporting

- Present project financials,



schedule status, and risks at the weekly leadership meeting
- Contribute to monthly planning sessions on company goals and problem-solving

What You Bring

- 5+ years managing residential construction projects, ideally custom homes or high-end renovations
- Strong financial acumen — you're comfortable owning a budget, invoicing, and change orders
- Proven ability to schedule and coordinate multiple trades across concurrent projects
- Comfort with construction management and documentation software
- Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and trades alike
- A safety-first mindset and a high personal standard for quality
- Valid driver's licence and legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Living in Canmore / the Bow Valley, or seriously ready to relocate

Compensation and Benefits

- Base salary: $104,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience
- Performance bonus: up to $2,500 in year one based on scorecard metrics, with room to grow
- Company vehicle provided after three months; mileage reimbursed at $0.65/km before that
- Health spending account: $2,500 per year
- Paid time off: 4 weeks annually (combined vacation and sick days)
