Job description:

Accounting Clerk – Toronto Office (1 – 2 year’s experience) Salary range - $40K - $52K

Shibley Righton LLP is seeking an Accounting Clerk to work within their busy Accounting Department.

This position reports to the Controller. The successful candidate will assist in the following:

- Review and process monthly billings
- Post daily general receipts
- Monthly bank G/L reconciliations
- Preparing wire payments. Ordering bank drafts. Bank Runs
- Prepare month end reports
- Various accounting reconciliations.
- Back up to Trust and Payables
- Journal entries, Write-offs and WIP transfers
- Deal with inquiries from staff and lawyers
- Filing of accounting records
- Reception duties on occasion
- Other duties as assigned

You have at least one year of previous accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment.



Excellent organizational and communication skills and an eye for details are a must. Strong computer skills including knowledge of excel is an asset. You are a team player and will work closely with the other clerks in accounting.
