Position: Full time, Permanent
Shift: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Availability: Evenings and weekends required
True Confections is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Front of House team member to join our team. This is a full time evening position, with shifts scheduled between our Denman Street and West Broadway locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone
- Serve cakes, desserts, coffee, and beverages
- Prepare coffee and specialty drinks
- Process payments and operate the POS system
- Package cakes and takeout orders
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Restock products and supplies throughout the shift
- Complete cleaning and closing duties
- Assist with receiving and organizing customer cake orders
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and decorating staff
- Follow food safety and workplace procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Must be available to work 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
- Must be available weekdays and weekends
- Must be able to work at both our Denman Street and West Broadway locations
- Reliable transportation to and from work, including after midnight
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to complete closing duties independently
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform regular cleaning duties
- Previous restaurant, café, bakery, or customer service experience is an asset
- Serving It Right certification is required for serving alcohol
Hours
This is a full-time position, primarily consisting of evening/closing shifts from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Applicants must have consistent availability and be able to work between both Vancouver locations.
