We are currently looking for Industrial Millwright Mechanics and Millwright Apprentices to join our team located in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
Applicants must have experience in the industrial sector and be willing to commute to different job sites within South-Western Ontario as needed.
Job responsibilities:
* Licensed Millwright Certification 433A, or be willing to work towards Millwright certification through apprenticeship.
* Perform routine maintenance work on industrial machinery.
* Troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns.
* Identify and or repair/replace defective machine parts and equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks on industrial equipment as scheduled.
* Ability and/or knowledge for heavy rigging and machinery moving.
* Work within company health and safety policies, practices and standards.
* Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings.
* Ability or license to operate lifting equipment such as heavy lift trucks, overhead cranes/gantries to move, load or unload equipment as required.
* Ability or license to operate manlifts/(PEWP) for elevated work conditions.
* Willing to actively participate in continuing education/training.
* Knowledge and ability to follow safe working practices.
* Maintains a safe and tidy work site.
