Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable part-time Courier Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering freight and packages efficiently and safely to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate service. Your expertise in commercial driving and exceptional people skills will be essential in maintaining smooth operations and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-paced delivery network, where your energy and attention to detail will make a real difference.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles, to transport freight and packages across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as skid pullers and dollies.
- Verify delivery addresses, documentation, and shipment details to ensure accuracy upon delivery
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections




- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during daily operations

Skills

- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Clean 3-year class 5 commercial driver's abstract
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid class 5 driver’s license (or higher)
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in logistics environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and route planning
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Physical stamina to lift heavy packages, and perform long hours on the road

Requirements

- CSA steel-toe boots are required.
- Hard hat required.
- High-visibility vest and safety glasses are provided.
- Must be available daily Monday to Friday daytime shifts.
- Must provide a clean 3-year Commercial Driver's abstract.
- Must have personal cell phone, monthly subsidy is provided.

Hours of Operation

This position requires Monday-Friday availability. Please note that this is a part-time position. Approximately 30-40 hours per week can be expected on average.

Closed evenings, weekend and statutory holidays.

Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour
