Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a positive attitude to ensure a smooth checkout process and enhance customer satisfaction. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse clientele. Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to ensure success in the role.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using POS systems
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately and efficiently
- Provide product information, conduct product demos when necessary, and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and welcoming
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding store policies, promotions, and product features




- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve customer experience
- Uphold phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times

Experience

- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills for cash handling, and merchandising principles are beneficial
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Ability to maintain professionalism with excellent phone etiquette and customer interaction skills
- Knowledge of technology sales or product demos is a bonus for engaging customers in technical or electronic products

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
