Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill is seeking a dependable, organized, and guest-focused Guest Services Manager to join our team for the upcoming ski season. This position plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience while supporting the Facility Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the ski hill.

The ideal candidate is an outgoing and organized individual who enjoys working with people, can confidently manage multiple priorities, and thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Facility Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the ski hill and support the smooth flow of daily activities.
- Oversee and support Guest Services operations, including guest check-in, ticketing, inquiries, phone calls, and email communications.
- Provide exceptional customer service and act as a welcoming point of contact for guests.
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of ski day policies, procedures, and operational checklists.
- Monitor guest flow and identify opportunities to improve the overall guest experience.
- Assist with financial processes, daily reporting, cash handling, and administrative duties as required.
- Support HR-related tasks, staff communication, scheduling, and other administrative functions.
- Assist with staff coordination and provide support to other departments as needed.
- Respond professionally and tactfully to guest concerns, questions, and challenging situations.
- Help ensure the chalet, Guest Services areas, and other guest-facing facilities are clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Assist with special events, school groups, rentals, and other programs as required.
- Support the Facility Supervisor with operational needs throughout the season.
- Assist with social media management, content creation, and promotional activities. Experience with social media platforms and basic content creation would be an asset.




- Perform other duties as required to support the overall operation of the ski hill.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, recreation, or a supervisory role is an asset.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, email, and file-sharing platforms such as Google Drive and SharePoint.
- Comfortable working with basic financial records, reporting, and administrative processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently while also being a strong team member.
- Outgoing, friendly, and committed to providing an exceptional guest experience.
- Courteous, patient, and tactful when dealing with guest concerns or challenging situations.
- Social media experience and familiarity with platforms such as Facebook and Instagram would be an asset.
- Previous experience working in a ski hill, recreation facility, hospitality environment, or other seasonal operation would be an asset.
- Must be available to work weekdays and weekends, including evenings and holidays as required during the ski season.

Located just 30 minutes from Athabasca and Westlock, 50 minutes from St. Albert, and approximately one hour from Edmonton, Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill is a community-focused, not-for-profit ski hill offering downhill skiing, snowboarding, tubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, lessons, events, and more.
