Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Plumbing estimating and project management, with proficiency in reading blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Prepare timely and accurate estimates including equipment, labour and materials
- Analyze information and adjust their estimates according to new timelines and or materials
- Develop detailed proposals outlining project scope, timeline, and pricing
- Communicate with clients and pricing for change orders as required
- Prepare quote to customer and sign off documentation to be able to do the job
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project
- Prepare progress billing and scheduling
- Communicate with & work to support other staff
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints and documents
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills
- Experience in negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Prefer at least 5 yeas of estimating experience in the plumbing trade
- Strong understanding of construction estimating principles
- Ability to build accurate and competitive price estimates
- Positive knowledge of Microsoft office including excel
- Experience working in a busy office and able to multi task
