We are seeking a highly skilled Eddy Current CGSB certified Level 2 technician for our aviation NDT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing Eddy Current Inspections for the aviation industry and producing the inspection reports while meeting the required standards of quality and safety per TC's CARs requirements, OEM's SRMs, TABAQ's MPM, and the SMS. This role requires a strong understanding of NDT inspection, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance methodologies, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills to drive high-level quality work.
Duties
- Perform Eddy Current inspections on aircrafts parts and components.
- Effectively administrate NDT equipment to detect irregularities, material flaws and structural defects without damaging the parts.
- Release inspection reports and other forms of testing as required to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards as well as customer specifications.
- Complete all inspection functions as detailed in the OEM's manual and the company's Maintenance Policy Manual.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records and documentation in line with regulations, Quality Assurance standards and the company's policies.
- Mentor other employees and sign off on their practical hours to get their ET2 tickets.
Experience
- Must have a minimum 3 years experience and a valid CGSB Level II Certification in Eddy Current Testing.
- Definite asset to have CGSB Level II in LPI, MPI, or Ultrasonic Testing.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), safety and quality systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Training
- For the right candidates, we may have a training opportunity to upscale their CGSB certification in other NDT methods or higher level.
