We are looking for Press brake operator based out of the Alliston area this is a full-time permanent position, working directly for the company, not through an agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret production drawings, work orders, and bend specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job.Perform accurate measurements, adjustments, and first-piece/in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
- Set up and operate AMADA brake press machinery.
- Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or material defects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Handle and move sheet metal and finished components properly.
- Complete production paperwork and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Meet daily production targets and support other production areas as required.
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing or sheet-metal experience.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, protractors, tape measures).
- 1–3 years of brake press experience preferred (AMADA equipment experience is an asset).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling sheet-metal components.
Shift timing:
Afternoon shift Monday to Friday 3:15pm TO 11:45pm (Training will be on the day shift)
$23/hr to start plus afternoon shift premium and plus benefits
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with standing and regular lifting required.
- Steel-toe safety footwear and PPE required.Day and/or afternoon shift availability.
