Job Description

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

- Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
- Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
- Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

Join Pomerleau as a Construction Quality Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting major construction projects across Canada.
Renouveau La Fontaine (RLF) is the consortium (Eurovia, Pomerleau, and Dodin) selected by the Quebec Ministry of Transportation for the major rehabilitation of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, the longest immersed tunnel in Canada, along with its approaches via Highways 20 and 25.

What you will do

- Assist the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and the Project Engineer in planning and conducting field inspections.
- Manage technical documentation on the internal project platform.




- Verify that construction work complies with design documents, specifications, standards, and execution plans.
- Identify deviations and issue observations and non-conformance reports. Follow up on corrective actions, non-conformities, and field modifications.
- Support the preparation of daily inspection reports under the supervision of the engineer.
- Ensure proper recording and documentation of work compliance.
- Participate in daily construction meetings.
- Organize inspection records to support project milestone documentation.

This role could be for you if you have

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Valid driver's license (carpooling opportunities available).
- Valid ASP Construction Health and Safety Card.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

- Creativity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving abilities.
