Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to design and support HVAC systems for commercial, agricultural, and controlled environment agriculture (CEA) facilities. The right person will combine strong technical and project skills with a cooperative, customer-focused approach and help carry projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

- Design, estimate, and optimize HVAC systems for commercial, agricultural, and CEA facilities.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and prepare technical documentation.
- Manage projects from concept through commissioning, meeting schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, contractors, clients, and engineering partners.
- Provide technical leadership, review drafting work, and support team development.
- Support construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolution of field-related issues.

Requirements





- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario or eligibility for registration
- Experience or education in HVAC system design and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Ontario Building Code, and National Building Code of Canada.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred: 5+ years of HVAC engineering experience; greenhouse, horticultural or CEA experience; project leadership from design through commissioning; and experience supporting sales, operations or clients.

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
