Natt Group operates through three core pillars: Natt Safety Services, Northern Academy (a Private Career College), and Natt Personnel. Together, they provide complete safety solutions—from training and certification to on-site support, including Confined Space Rescue specialists—while covering all staffing requirements.
We are expanding our pool of Confined Space and Rescue personnel and seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals to join our team on an as-needed basis. Applicants must hold a valid G-Class driver’s license and have flexible availability to accommodate changing scheduling needs. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the hazards associated with confined space entry, including means of exposure (e.g., inhalation or dermal absorption).
- Recognize signs, symptoms, and consequences of exposure, ensuring timely and appropriate response.
- Maintain effective communication procedures with attendants and alert them to hazardous or prohibited conditions.
- Properly use and understand personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Exhibit professionalism, effective communication, and reporting skills.
- Ensure cleanliness of company vehicles and trailers.
- Maintain a clean-shaven appearance.
- Comfortably work in tight spaces and at heights.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including daily timesheets.
- Adhere to site-specific rules, policies, and expectations outlined in the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Wear full high-visibility PPE, including safety boots, gloves, glasses, and respirators when required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing for long periods: The role typically requires being on your feet for extended durations to monitor the confined space effectively.
- Good Vision and Hearing: Clear vision and hearing are essential for observing the environment and communicating with workers inside the confined space.
- Mobility and Agility: Ability to climb stairs and ladders, walk on uneven ground/rough terrain, and walk distances to reach the confined space.
- Strength: The ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (Monitoring equipment, Attendant’s Bag etc.).
- Comfort in Various Conditions: The rescuer will work in outdoor and/or industrial environments, which can involve exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise.
Job Type: Part-time, Casual
Licence/Certification:
- Driver’s licence (required)
- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
- Standard First Aid Certificate (preferred)
