Standard Auto Wreckers, one of the largest automotive recyclers in the GTA, is in need of another great person on our team.

We are looking for a full-time Licensed Mechanic to take care of our own fleet of tow trucks, delivery vehicles, forklifts and equipment.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of our fleet — keeping our trucks and equipment running properly, staying ahead of repairs, and making preventative maintenance, servicing and greasing a priority so we get the longest possible life out of our equipment.

You'll be surrounded by mechanically inclined people, but you'll be our dedicated mechanic helping to keep our Scarborough operation moving.

Applicants should have their own tools as a general rule, although we'll provide additional or specialty tools where necessary.If you're a licensed mechanic looking for a steady Monday-to-Friday position without working on customer vehicles, we'd like to meet you.

Job Responsibilities

- Repair and maintain the company fleet of delivery vehicles in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform scheduled maintenance and properly document completed work




- Maintain and repair shop equipment including forklifts, and golf carts
- Assist with additional shop duties as required
- Accurately document repairs, maintenance, and time spent on all equipment and fleet vehicles
- Order required parts, fluids, and shop supplies
- Communicate effectively with the shipping and management team

Qualifications

- Minimum 3-5 years of hands - on automotive experience
- Valid 310T or 310S Automotive Technician License
- Must possess and maintain the necessary tools required for the position
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
