Job Description:

Macklin House Daycare is seeking a qualified, dedicated and experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator/Equivalent and Early Childhood Assistant to join our team to facilitate the delivery of quality care and service to the children and their families enrolled in our program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of the learning centre,
- Have knowledge of and standards according to CCEYA
- Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Ensure that age-appropriate activities and program are planned and implemented.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, staff, and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers,
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance, incidents,



and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals as needed to support the needs of children and families.
- Stay updated with current best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

- A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in Ontario.
- 2 years experience in an early childhood education setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check conducted within the last 6 months
- Completion of a 2-step TB test.
- Strong computer skills - ability to navigate Microsoft Excell, Word

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $25.86 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
