Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RDA to join our small tight knit team. Operating in a restored early 1900s heritage house in Cochrane, AB we are looking for someone who can exemplify our patient care based values, treating everyone who walks through the door like a welcomed guest in our home. Big Hill Dental is small by design, with 3 chairs and a porch that is perfect for your morning coffee. Built for the Cochrane community - one chair, one family, one happy smile at a time.

This position has 32 hours guaranteed per week, and will remain posted until the right candidate is found.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Assist chairside through exams, restorations, hygiene support, and minor surgical procedures.
- Set up and tear down operatories, and keep instrument sterilization running smoothly and properly.
- Take radiographs, scans, and intraoral photos within your scope of practice.
- Prepare and place instruments and materials keeping charting accurate as you go.
- Talk patients through what’s happening next, ensuring nothing feels like a surprise.




- Help nervous patients settle - blankets, breaks, a slower pace, whatever it takes.
- Keep inventory stocked and flag what we’re running low on before it causes a problem.
- Pitch in at the front when the phones get busy - we all wear a few hats here.

What We’re Looking For

- Active registration in valuable standing with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
- Comfortable assisting chairside with restorative, hygiene, and minor surgical procedures.
- Current radiography certification and solid sterilization habits.
- Genuine warmth and care for patients - especially the anxious ones.
- Dependable, tidy, and happy to work as an integral part of a very small team.
- Dental Software experience is an asset (we will train you on ours either way)

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
