Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator specializing in Dock Stocking and Reach Truck operations to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment with precision. Duties

- Operate forklift trucks, including reach trucks and clamp trucks, to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Stock incoming inventory at designated dock areas, ensuring proper placement for easy retrieval and inventory accuracy.
- Pick orders accurately using order pickers and manage stock levels according to warehouse management system (WMS) data.
- Assist in maintaining organized storage areas by stacking pallets securely and ensuring proper labeling.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly to maintenance teams.
- Support heavy lifting tasks by handling bulky or heavy items with appropriate equipment and techniques.




- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system.
- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries.

Skills

- Proven experience in warehouse distribution environments with a focus on forklift operation.
- Proficiency in operating reach trucks, clamp trucks, and order pickers.
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking and stock management.
