CLASS 1 FLATDECK / STEPDECK DRIVER

Ryanson Transport Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dependable Class 1 Flatdeck / Stepdeck Driver to join our team.

Our operation is primarily focused on Western Canada, with occasional trips to Eastern Canada. We are looking for a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, proper load securement, equipment care, and providing excellent service to our customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely operate Class 1 tractor with flatdeck and/or stepdeck trailers
- Transport freight primarily throughout Western Canada
- Complete occasional long-haul trips to Eastern Canada
- Properly secure loads using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and other securement equipment
- Inspect cargo and ensure loads are properly secured before and during transportation
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation
- Follow all applicable provincial and federal transportation regulations
- Comply with Hours of Service and ELD requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, shippers, and receivers
- Maintain a clean, safe,



and professional truck and trailer
- Take responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of freight

QUALIFICATIONS

- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Previous flatdeck and/or stepdeck experience
- Experience with load securement is required
- Strong knowledge of chains, binders, straps, and tarping
- Good understanding of Hours of Service and ELD requirements
- Clean and acceptable driver's abstract
- Strong safety record
- Ability to work independently and manage changing schedules
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel throughout Western Canada and occasionally to Eastern Canada
