We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our Ottawa team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, customer-service-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Test and verify the quality of control system installations.
- Calibrate and maintain sensing and actuating devices.
- Complete programming of digital control systems.
- Perform system and equipment start-ups and complete the associated documentation.
- Tune PID loops.
- Perform laboratory validation.
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine corrective actions.
- Install and terminate control devices such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and relays.
- Provide training to customers.
- Optimize control sequences.
- Comply with health and safety policies at all times.

Requirements:

- College diploma or equivalent in instrumentation and automation, electronics, or building mechanical systems, or a university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with the position.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
- Advanced proficiency in French.




- Intermediate proficiency in English (occasional work with English-speaking clients – approximately 10%).
- No criminal record.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with building automation systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of the BACnet protocol.
- Knowledge of computer networks and telecommunications.

This is a physically demanding position that requires regular use of the hands and fingers, as well as walking, crouching, and kneeling. Employees are required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs.

Pay: $18.62-$43.71 per hour
