Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatching of trucks, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries aligned with customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems, providing clear instructions and support throughout their routes.
- Maintain detailed records of freight movements, shipping & receiving documentation, and driver logs.
- Monitor shipment progress, troubleshoot delays or issues promptly, and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.
- Assist with data entry related to freight details, shipment schedules, and inventory updates to support supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to shipping & receiving protocols, safety standards, and proper phone etiquette during all communications.
Experience
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight handling, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent analysis skills to assess route efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and improve dispatch processes.
- Exceptional communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems.
- Adept at data entry with high accuracy in typing and recordkeeping tasks.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced dispatch workplace or related logistics role is highly desirable.
