Come join the Food & Beverage team at Sparkling Hill Resort! We are looking to hire a Lounge Server who is guest-focused, detail oriented and ready to provide our guests with the best possible service.

Our Lounge Servers create warm, polished and personalized guest experiences in a relaxed luxury lounge environment.

This role combines coffee, light dining, wine, cocktails and evening lounge service. Successful candidates are attentive, approachable and able to read each guest’s preferences, adapting their service style without being intrusive.

Previous restaurant, lounge, café or bar experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic, professional presence and genuine interest in hospitality.

Staff accommodation is available in double rooms for full-time Sparkling Hill employees, working 40 hours per week.

Duties for this position will include:

- Welcome guests naturally and create a comfortable, professional connection from the beginning of their visit.
- Read each guest’s preferences and reason for visiting, adapting your approach whether they are enjoying coffee, a casual meal, cocktails or a relaxed lounge experience.
- Remain attentive and anticipate guest needs without making service feel intrusive or overly formal.
- Build genuine relationships with resort guests and returning visitors while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.




- Conduct regular table checks and address concerns promptly and professionally.
- Resolve straightforward guest concerns whenever possible and involve a supervisor or manager when additional support is required.
- Develop strong knowledge of the food menu, coffee offerings, wine, beer, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Describe menu and beverage options confidently and accurately and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take and enter orders accurately, clearly communicating allergies, dietary restrictions and special requests.
- Prepare and serve appropriate coffee and non-alcoholic beverages where required.
- Maintain proper pacing throughout the guest experience, recognizing that lounge guests may stay longer and prefer a less structured service rhythm than traditional restaurant dining.
- Present and process bills efficiently and discreetly.
- Maintain a clean, organized and fully prepared section throughout the shift.
- Ensure tables, lounge seating, service stations, menus, glassware and presentation areas remain clean and guest-ready.
- Monitor the overall appearance and atmosphere of the lounge, not only your assigned tables.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings covering daily features, beverage promotions, resort activity, menu changes and other important operational information.
- Complete opening, closing and side duties thoroughly and consistently.
- Develop confidence discussing wine, spirits, cocktails, coffee and other beverage offerings.




- Learn current beverage features and actively support promotional or seasonal offerings.
- Support the team in maintaining appropriate beverage displays, glassware, product organization and service standards.
- Assist with food running, clearing, resetting, polishing, stocking and other service needs whenever required.
- Work closely with bartenders, kitchen team, fellow servers, hosts and leaders to maintain a smooth operation.
- Support other food and beverage outlets, events or special functions when operationally required.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service and resort standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned or as required by the needs of the operation.

Qualifications:

- A warm, polished and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and guest-service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods.
- Strong teamwork and a dependable work ethic.
- Previous restaurant, lounge, café or bar experience is preferred.
- Wine, cocktail, spirits, coffee or barista knowledge is an asset.
- Previous POS experience is an asset.
- Valid Serving It Right certificate
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation is required
