Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.
Description
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.
Tasks for this role include:
- Use your own bike or car to lead participants along the 5km route
- Guide the group from start to finish, maintaining a safe and steady pace
- Help set the tone — cheerful, encouraging, and visible throughout the route
- If you're the only route lead, sweep the course on your return to ensure no one is left behind
- Coordinate with event staff to stay aligned on timing and safety
Why we need you

By joining the CIBC Run for the Cure this year and uniting your community together for the breast cancer cause, you are helping us ensure we can continue to fund ground-breaking breast cancer research and clinical trials. Thanks to these investments in research and clinical trials, approximately 90% of women will survive at least 5 years after a breast cancer diagnosis.
