CANNING LINE OPERATOR

THE ROLE

We're looking for a Canning Line Operator to run day-to-day canning operations for our production team. You'll be responsible for keeping the line running safely and efficiently, from setup and changeovers through to fill checks and pack-off, while helping us maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first facility. The Canning Line Operator is our last line of defense for quality before product leaves the building, so attention to detail matters. Prior beverage or food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. We're happy to train the right person.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate the canning line for the full shift, including filler, seamer, and labeler

- Perform line setup, changeovers, and start-up/shut-down procedures

- Monitor fill levels, seam integrity, and label placement to ensure product meets spec

- Supply the line with cans, lids, and packaging materials; operate the depalletizer as needed

- Perform routine quality checks and complete required production/QA records

- Carry out CIP and sanitation of canning equipment and the surrounding area

- Perform minor preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on line equipment

- Assist with case packing, palletizing, and staging finished product for the warehouse

- Maintain general cleaning and organization of the production floor

- Follow all food safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements (CFIA/AGLC)

- Perform other production duties as required

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in a clean, organized workspace

- Hands-on and mechanically inclined; comfortable learning new equipment

- Strong attention to detail, especially around quality and food safety

- Ability to follow procedures and work safely with production equipment





- Positive communication skills and ability to work well as part of a small team

- Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced production environment

- Experience operating a canning or bottling line is preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Standing, bending, and lifting required throughout the shift

- Occasional lifting up to 25 kg

- Exposure to varying temperatures (cooler, production floor)

- Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and production materials

- PPE required

- Standard daytime hours, Monday to Friday
