Job Summary

We are currently seeking experienced, compassionate and dependable Personal

Support Workers (PSWs) to join our care team serving clients in Keswick, Sutton and

Georgina Island, Ontario.

This opportunity is ideal for PSWs who take pride in their profession, understand the

responsibility of working independently in a client's home, and are committed to

providing consistent, respectful and high-quality care.

Duties

- Personal care, bathing, grooming and hygiene assistance
- Mobility, transfer and safety support
- Dementia care and companionship
- Supporting clients with disabilities and varying levels of independence
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders within the PSW scope of practice
- Transportation or accompaniment to appointments, where applicable
- Emotional and social support
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition or needs
- Completing accurate and timely caregiver documentation
- Supporting clients to maintain dignity, independence and quality of life

Skills

- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on dignity and respect
- Knowledge of nursing home procedures, hospice care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience and empathy
- Capable of meal preparation that meets specific dietary requirements
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

A recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or Diploma (proof will

be required)

- Explicit Vulnerable Sector check (obtained within previous six months)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, communication and electronic care documentation
- Ability to provide two professional references who can speak to your caregiving experience and reliability
- Ability to provide required health/immunization documentation

Previous professional experience supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities and/or

clients living with dementia is strongly preferred.

Note: A valid driver's license, appropriate automobile insurance and reliable

access to a vehicle are strongly preferred due to the community-based nature of

our services.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
