Overview
Location: Red Deer
Facilities: Red Deer and Lacombe County Manufacturing Plants
Department: Operations / Supply Chain
Reports to: Production & Operation Manager
Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator supports day-to-day logistics, shipping, receiving, inventory, activities. This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, works with customs brokers and carriers, maintains accurate records in Acumatica.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple business functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound Logistics & Customs
· Contact customs brokers to clear incoming overseas containers upon receipt of e-manifests
· Coordinate container releases and track customs clearance status
· Communicate with trucking companies to arrange container delivery from rail to blending warehouses
· Follow up on pickup numbers and delivery confirmations
Inventory & Systems
· Receive containers into Acumatica inventory using Bills of Lading (BOLs) provided by blending warehouses
· Update container details in the container tracking spreadsheet
· Save and organize receiving BOLs and shipping documents in the appropriate vendor folders
· Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy and documentation compliance
Shipping & Transportation
· Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments
· Arrange transportation with carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers
· Prepare and process shipping documents, including:
o Bills of Lading (BOL)
o Commercial invoices
o Packing lists
o Customs and shipping paperwork
· Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues or delays
Communication & Coordination
· Communicate shipment status to suppliers, customers,
and internal teams
· Support coordination between operations, warehousing, logistics, and finance teams
· Ensure shipments comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience Education
Post-secondary education preferred, such as:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- or a related field
Experience· 1–3 years of experience in logistics and operations activities.· Experience in inventory-based, manufacturing, distribution, or operational businesses is considered an asset· Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-functional business environment is preferred Technical Skills
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
· Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, or similar) is an asset but not required
· Comfortable working with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and digital filing/document management systems

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
