Job Title: Clinic Manager

Company Overview

Join our vibrant, fast-paced medical practice in Edmonton. We are a premier multi-disciplinary clinic combining robust family practice and specialty care. Backed by a dedicated team of 10 physicians and 8 full-time staff, we take pride in delivering exceptional patient care and running a highly coordinated, professional operation. We are currently seeking an organized, proactive, and career-driven Clinic Manager to oversee our daily operations and support our growth.

Position Overview

The Clinic Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, supervising support staff, and ensuring smooth, efficient clinical workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, clear communication, and excellent multitasking abilities to bridge the needs of our physicians, staff, and patients.

This position is uniquely structured around approximately 75% medical billing and clinic administration and 25% operational management and human resources.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Administration (75%):

- Daily Operations: Oversee all daily operations, clinic workflows and patient flow to ensure a seamless, productive practice setting
- Oversee and manage clinic medical billing processes - including AHCIP (submissions, rejections, and reconciliations), third-party and WCB.
- Coordinate directly with external IT support providers to resolve clinic technical needs swiftly.
- Identify and execute process improvements to maximize clinic efficiency and workflow productivity.
- Create, implement, and maintain strategic plans and clinic operational policies under executive guidance.
- Collaborate closely with the clinic bookkeeper and accountant to facilitate supply order,



financial report and end-of-month reconciliations.
- Manage staff and physician EMR access permissions and onboarding configurations.

Clinic Management & HR (25%)

- Supervise, mentor, and support a dedicated team of 8 administrative and support staff members.
- Manage comprehensive HR duties, including staff scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and annual performance reviews.
- Act as the primary liaison to streamline communications between the physicians and the front-line staff.
- Ensure strict compliance with Alberta healthcare regulations, privacy acts (HIA), and clinic policies.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinic management, medical office administration, or a supervisory role within a busy healthcare environment.
- EMR Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Accuro EMR is highly preferred (specifically user setup and template management).
- Medical Billing: Experience with Alberta medical billing practices and administrative workflows is preferred, but training will be provided
- Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of managing and scheduling staff.
- Organization: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a knack for juggling competing priorities in a busy environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
