Position: Apprentice 2nd year Pipefitter- Current Plant construction
Salary: $32-44/hr - for 2nd year Apprentice and higher
Location: Redwater Refinery (Travel Time is paid)
Temporary 2-4 Month project with potential for extension
Start date ASAP
Seeking to fill 2 Positions for Apprentice 2nd year or higher Pipe fitter. Position will involve removing equipment, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of components (Valves, piping systems). Installing new piping, flanges, and all testing. Tools and PPE provided (Except steel toed boots). Some portions of this job are working at Heights and Aerial Access only
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Breakdown, Inspect, Diagnose, and make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs
- Repair the equipment in a timely and financially responsible manner
- Testing and QC of equipment after repair
- Work as a team, training apprentices, coordinating with other departments
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times
- Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a Journey person Pipefitter with at least 3-4 years relevant exp. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Current Pipefitter Apprentice (Blue book must be active and current)
- Experience in repair/maintenance and replacement of piping in chemical manufacturing plants
- Experience with New plant construction
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
