About the Role

Quality Cheese is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support product costing, inventory accuracy, variance analysis, reporting, budgeting, and month-end activities. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, and Production to help provide accurate cost information and meaningful insights that support business decisions.

Location: Vaughan, Ontario - in-office position

Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 annually

Vacancy Status: New position, currently vacant and seeking to fill this role immediately.

What You’ll Do

- Maintain accurate product costing, standard costing, and bill of material analysis.
- Analyze manufacturing variances, including labour, materials, overhead, and production efficiencies.
- Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory, costing, and manufacturing accounting.
- Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and profitability reporting to support management decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit requests, and supporting documentation.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Production teams to improve costing accuracy, reporting, and internal controls.

Who You Are

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or active enrollment is considered an asset.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.




- Robust understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
