Vacancy Status: This is a new position established to support machining and rotating equipment repair operations in the Corunna Millwright Shop.

About the Role

CMF Group Inc. is seeking an experienced General Machinist to join our Corunna‑based industrial maintenance and machining team. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with strong CNC and manual machining experience, and a proven background in repairing and overhauling rotating equipment for industrial customers. The Machinist will support machining operations, precision repairs, and rotating equipment rebuilds while ensuring high‑quality workmanship and adherence to CMF Group’s safety and quality standards.

Work Schedule

This is an hourly position with a standard schedule of:

· Monday to Friday — 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

§ Work hours may fluctuate based on project requirements, customer deadlines, or emergency repair needs.

§ This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).

Compensation & Benefits

- Wage Rate: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capabilities.
- Vacation: CMF Group provides a competitive vacation and paid time off program in accordance with the ESA, with details discussed during the hiring process.

- Additional Compensation:

o Overtime paid at time and a half after 44 hours worked per week, in accordance with Ontario legislation.

o Paid statutory holidays as required under the ESA.





o Expense reimbursement for approved business travel.

o Company‑provided tools and equipment as required for machining tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Machining & Repair Operations

· Operate manual and CNC machining equipment to manufacture, repair, and modify components for industrial customers.

· Perform precision machining while maintaining tight tolerances and high‑quality workmanship.

· Support the repair, overhaul, and rebuild of rotating equipment.

· Inspect components, determine repair requirements, and machine parts to required specifications.

· Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and precision measurements.

· Follow CMF Group’s quality, safety, and machining procedures.

Shop & Project Support

· Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project schedules and customer requirements.

· Assist with rotating equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair planning.

· Follow stringent QA/QC company protocols and systems.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

· Collaborate with millwrights, supervisors, and project teams as required.

Qualifications & Expectations

· Red Seal Machinist certification is required.

· Rotating equipment repair experience is mandatory.

· Strong experience operating manual machining equipment.

· CNC machining experience, Fanuc controller.

· Experience repairing or machining components for pumps, turbines,



and gearboxes is considered a strong advantage.

· Experience operating a dynamic balancing machine is beneficial. BalanStar controller

· Strong understanding of precision measurement, machining practices, fits, clearances, and tolerances.

· Ability to troubleshoot and develop practical repair solutions.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Professional, reliable, and able to maintain safe work practices at all times.
