Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor as they arrive, making them feel welcomed and appreciated
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Maintain waitlists, estimate wait times, and communicate clearly with guests about their seating status
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about reservations and wait times
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
- Keep the host station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary materials
- Assist in handling guest concerns promptly and professionally to uphold high standards of hospitality
Qualifications
- Prior experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly interaction
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
