About the Role
ISL’s Calgary Water/Wastewater Service Line, as part of our Municipal Sector, provides expert assessment, design, construction and commissioning services for water and wastewater systems in communities. We are a multi-disciplinary team of over 20 ISLers, providing services in and around Western Canada.
We are looking for a person to join our close knit team who can apply their knowledge and experience in detailed design to deliver a variety of services for our public and private sector clients with a focus on providing water and wastewater infrastructure designs from planning through construction. We offer our team members a diverse range of projects on which to hone their skills and are committed to team member career progression.

Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for multiple aspects of design and tendering including:

- Design of water and wastewater projects including analysis of existing data, site visits, hydraulic design calculations, and design drawing markups
- Assisting project managers with project coordination
- Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Report and technical memo writing
- Writing of project and technical specifications
- Assisting with construction administration
- Leveraging technology to provide high quality deliverables
- Assisting with creating proposal content

Your resume should show us:

- A degree in Civil Engineering, and an EIT or P.Eng. designation with APEGA, or eligibility for registration with APEGA.
- 1 to 5 years of related experience, preferably in municipal water and wastewater design.
- Past experiences collaborating with internal and external clients.
- Past experiences working in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.

Bonus points for:





- Previous experience in municipal water and wastewater design
- Experience in supporting projects from planning to construction where you have played a role in the full cycle of development

Depending on your experience level, the salary range (based on a 40-hour work week) is:
$74,000 to $100,000
