Duties
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards
- Lead, motivate, and support housekeeping staff to foster a positive team environment
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Coordinate scheduling and assign tasks to team members based on occupancy levels and operational needs
- Assist in training new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotel or hospitality settings
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and best practices in hospitality environments
- Excellent attention to detail to uphold cleanliness standards across all areas
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills for transparent instructions and guest interactions
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including weekends, and holidays as needed
- Exeperience working in a hotel is an asset
